Paramin Village is located on the slopes of the Northern Range, between Diego Martin and Maracas. The population of Spanish ancestry came from Venezuela to plant cocoa in the nineteenth century. The village is famous for producing seasonings such as chive, peppermint and thyme and is known as the herb basket of Trinidad. The community is famous for a number of traditions such as parang and the Paramin Blue Devils. The village is also home to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
